Todays outfit is very much inspired by a gig I went to last night. A group of us trekked down to Kemp Town to watch a band called Mt Desolation at the Brighton Ballrooms (which I must add is a fabulous venue that I frequent quite often). ANYWAY. Mt Desolation describe themselves as being a supergroup. A bunch of different guys from the Killers, Keane, Mumford & Sons and Noah & The Whale have joined forces to create a new band. And boy were they good. I mean, lets face it, this band was always going to be onto a winner - they are all rediculously beautiful boys with nice clothes and good hair (always important) so it's no surprise that their country folky sound had the audience captivated and swaying away to their hearts content.
So, in the words of Carrie Bradshaw, this got me to thinking that everyday women all over the country are creating their own supergroup outfits right out of their very own wardrobes. Each day we dig out pieces from different eras and mix them up together to create our own styles. Take today for example, I am wearing a grungy 90s cardigan with more holes in it than I care to mention, a black bodycon dress that could have been pulled straight out of the 80s, topped off with a fifties print cropped blouse that makes me look like I should be working in some American diner somewhere and some broque boots. And Bam. There you have it. A pretty cracking outfit. A super outfit even...
