Now, I don't need any excuse to don a frock and go and drink champagne so when I was invited to the launch party of the new Dollydagger shop in Brighton I jumped at the chance. The shop itself is stunning and can be found nestled deep in the South Laines on Brighton Place. Number 6 to be exact. When I arrived, not only was I met with a glass of fizz but I was also offered a yummy handmade cupcake. If only every place I arrived at was met with such a reception. In the shop you can find a stunning range of frocks, cardis, accessories and shoes. With brands ranging from Stop Staring (a personal favourite of mine – I once wore a Stop Staring frock to Goodwood Revival and felt like a proper pin up girl), Tara Starlet, Irregular Choice, Helen Rochfort and Jojo & Mac you really are spoilt for choice. But for me, the frocks that stole the show were Dollydaggers own label designs. The dresses are made with beautiful fabrics in a stunning vintage inspired cut that will flatter all shapes and sizes. After a bit of schmoozing (and drooling over pieces that are just crying out to live in my wardrobe) we were all led to an after party at the Hotel Pelirocco, which is quite frankly, just awesome. With guest DJ's and more cocktails than you can shake a stick at, the party really got into full swing. At one point I found myself waiting at the bar for my 'Delboy' cocktail with a tub of Popcorn flavoured ice cream from Boho Gelato. Now, for me, it really doesn't get much better than that.
