The Brighton Vintage Fair.

I heard about 'The Vintage Fair' a few months ago when I was planning on going to one of their fairs in London but unfortunately couldn't make it. I remember thinking at the time how they needed to have one in Brighton and low and behold they blooming have. I picked up a flyer about the Brighton one on my travels a couple of weeks ago and it has had pride of place on my wall next to my Phillip Schofield photo ever since.

Anyway, today was the day. The fair opened at 12 noon and ran until 5pm at the Sallis Benney Theatre on Grand Parade in Brighton and I can tell you now, it most certainly did not disappoint. With stall after stall selling lovely vintage wears for reasonable prices it wasn't surprising that it got busy pretty quickly. There was a complete range of clothing from forties dresses, 80s jumpers and homemade jewellery so it really was a gem to look around.

Obviously I made a few purchases (it would have been pretty impossible not too!) and I was going to wait to show them to you but typical me managed to get caught in a random rainstorm at about 2 o clock this afternoon resulting in my outfit getting drenched through. So after running home to change I through on some jeans, an old grey Topshop t-shirt from their gym range - which incidentally I think I've only exercised in about once, and tied one of the vintage scarfs in my already birdnest-esque hair. This scarf is really awesome - it's a nice maroon colour (I'm a recent convert to this colour so I'm sure you'll be seeing it in many more posts to come) and it's covered in horses. The horses were what sold it to me really.

I also HAVE to mention the delicious cupcakes that were on offer today. Obviously they had tea and cakes for sale, lets face it, it wouldn't be a vintage fair with out tea and cakes but these ones were super super nice. Made by the Cupcake Mistress they are quite simply beautiful...

On that note, I'm going to go home to stuff myself silly with all the food I can get my hands on and curl up on the sofa and watch X Factor. Have a lovely evening everyone! x
