As you all settle into your Monday mornings at work, I'm heading off on a little trip back to the homelands. I might be going on my own but I can assure you this one-woman-roadtrip is gonna be quite amazing. I've always loved a good roadtrip and even when I'm on my own I know it's going to be a good journey. Partly because I will be spending most of it listening to Journey. As well as a few classics from Tom Petty, Wilson Pickett, AC/DC and the like. Probably followed by a bit of 80s disco from Boney M & maybe some Flashdance. And of course the legend that is Tom Jones. No road trip is complete without him.
What better to take on a trip than a nice little vintage suitcase. This one was found in Snoopers Paradise in Brighton and technically is probably more of a vanity case but I always tend to travel light so I'm going with calling it a suitcase. These little cases crop up in every vintage store, antique shop and car boot sale around and I think more people need to start carrying them around as their normal bags. They add so much character to an outfit and you can fit so much in them. Forget your canvas bags and your shoulder bags - these little cases are the way forward.
Suitcase - Snoopers Paradise
Jeans - Primark
Top - Topshop
Shoes - Topshop
Cardi - F&F
I also have this song on my roadtrip playlist too. This band are absolutely amazing. I recommend you check them out if you like a bit of rockabilly!
So back to the country I go. Lynyrd Skynyrd once said Sweet home Alabama, where the skies so blue. Alabama? I don't think so..Sweet home Suffolk more like.
