Unfortunately I have never been the type of girl who can pull off 'classy' outfits. Now don't get me wrong, I can look fancy, but looking effortlessly chic is something I've never really grasped. But I'm hoping that's all about to change. All over London, Paris and New York fashion weeks there was show after show turning out girls clad in camel. It seems just donning this colour suddenly means you exude elegance. Take for example, if you were just wearing a pair of jeans and a casual t-shirt - if you were to pop on a camel trench coat over the top, belt it in the middle and you would immediately have a sense of Parisian style. It's much the same with a blouse or a frock - the colour would immediately make you look sophisticated. That said, over the next couple of months I shall be on the look out for some camel pieces that will transform me into a (in the words of Kool & the Gang) "Mmm Sophisticated Mama.."
So with that thought in mind I decided to wear my camel jumper today. Unfortunately I didn't really think it through when I left the house at the wee hours of this morning to go to work. With only a few hours sleep under my belt and a blinding hangover I forgot that the weather was supposed to be rather nice today and surprise surprise its a bit of a corker. So now I'm left here sweating out my hangover into my lovely camel jumper. See, I told you I wasn't classy. Also, I've saved you the trouble of having to look at my face today, with last nights make up still on and a birds nest for hair I choose to give you Gaga's face instead. That's much better.
Oh and if you get time I suggest you check out this blog as it showcases Chloe's SS11 collection (one of my favourites). The ladylike charm that the camel colours represent is just lovely - http://www.fashion156.com/blog.php?entry=398&issue=31
