Just before Christmas I was invited to newly opened Brighton restaurant, Azure for an evening of Middle Eastern and Moroccan fusion food.
Azure is located down on the seafront, just below the Brighton Wheel. It was a cold and rainy night so the blustery weather wasn't the ideal setting but in the summer when they bring out their outside seating it will be amazing. I'm thinking Mezzes, Margaritas and sunshine baby!
We tried lots of different foods, including the biggest creme brûlée I've ever seen but my favourite was the Fish Tagine. I love tagines but surprisingly I've never made a fish one. The flavours were aromatic and delicious and I would recommend you try one of their tagines if you go.
Another innovative aspect to this eating experience is the ordering system. Upon arrival you are given an iPad for you to peruse the menu and even order your food. The bill is then sent to your iPad and you can pay right there and then. At a busy restaurant this speedy service could be just the ticket.
They are currently closed for the Winter period but will be opening up again with a bang in the warmer months. Be sure to check it out, it will be the ideal bolt hole on your days on the beach.
Find them at 9-11 Lower promenade, Madeira Drive, Brighton and check out their website here.
