TRAVEL - Jersey Boys review

I've wanted to see The Jersey Boys for so long now. With the snippet's I'd seen on TV interviews I just assumed it was a made up musical with a banging sound track. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong and it's actually a true account of the life of Frankie Valli. I also had no idea so many hits I grew up listening to in my Mums car were by his band Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

I got the tickets from Seatwave, an online ticket marketplace for theatre, comedy and music gigs and on a lovely sunny Saturday (hottest day of the year so far!) we jumped on a train and headed for the Prince Edward Theatre.

Armed with a box of maltesers and a glass of fizz we found our seats. The seats were right at the top which was quite daunting to begin with but actually it made for a great experience. Not only could we see directly down onto the stage but you could also see everyone's shoulders shimmying to the big numbers.

I found it took me a little while to get into it but by the time we got to the second half I was sold. It was fun, lighthearted and I still can't get over how high the guy playing Frankie Valli's voice was. It was equal levels of amazing yet mind-boggling!

We weren't allowed to take any photos or videos during the performance so here's a little bit of Frankie Valli and the four seasons for you in the form of a medley. Gotta love a medley!

*Seatwave sent me these tickets for the purpose of this review but as always views are my own*
