WEDDING: Wedding dress dramas

Haughton NYC

Hello all you brides to be out there. This is the second in a series of blogs about planning your own wedding. My first post was these DIY button holes. Today I am talking dresses.

Finding a wedding dress is hard. To say I am struggling is an understatement. I thought I had found my dream dress and believe me it was an absolute steal but I found it over 6 months ago and my wedding is not until next April. As time has passed and I've been reading more and more wedding blogs I've gone off it. I am devastated. It's back to the dreaded search for me now!

Don't get me wrong, there are so many amazing dresses out there but the problem I am having is that each dress I try on doesn't feel like it's me. It feels like I am pretending to be someone else. I am not interested in a poofy dress, boho dress, grecian dress, fifties dress etc etc. I just want a stylish dress that suits me!

Having spent many hours trawling wedding websites, google and Pinterest I've realised that it's slim pickings out there. It's also not helpful, if like us, you are planning a thrifty affair.

But for the purpose of inspiration (and without budget in mind) here is my edit for stylish wedding dresses. Now I just need to find something similar but at a quarter of the price...!

If anyone can recommend any stylish yet affordable wedding dress outlets then please please send them my way. I'd also be keen to hear if anyone else reading this has had the same dilemmas!
