CRAFT: DIY Tassel Garland

This week I have another DIY wedding post for you. My last post was these super easy printed napkins and today's post is this awesome tissue paper tassel garland. We aren't having a colour theme for our wedding but I've noticed that each project I've done so far is steering towards gold vibes! I've gone for gold and mint green for this garland but you could pick your own wedding colours or go multi-coloured!

You will need:

Tissue paper
Scissors
Sellotape
String

Start by folding a piece of tissue paper in half keeping the fold at the top.

Then begin cutting approximately 1 inch wide strands.

Keep cutting until they you reach a couple of inches away from the top.

Repeat this process across the width of the sheet.

Once finished open up the sheet and turn clockwise and then starting at the bottom begin to roll up the tissue paper as shown.

Once rolled you are now ready to twist.

Loop around and hold in place with your thumb. Take one of the middle strands and wrap it around where your thumb is and secure with a small piece of tape.

Repeat this process until you've made all your tassels.

Now all you have to do is thread your string through and hang! Easy as pie!
